Cornerstone Marketing & Advertising, Inc. was recognized for advertising excellence by the Emerald Coast Advertising Federation at the recent 2004 ADDY Awards & Gala. Together, Cornerstone and its clients were awarded nine gold, eight silver, one Best of Show, and one Special Judges Award, bringing in more special and gold awards than any other competitor.

Cornerstone bills itself as “an idea boutique” that specializes in award-winning advertising campaigns, public relations, marketing, and consulting for real estate developments, retailers, resorts and financial institutions. Located in Grayton Beach, Florida, Cornerstone functions as a “think tank” for intelligent, fresh and luminous ideas to flourish into advertising and marketing programs.

“When I opened Cornerstone about ten years ago, there were only a few ad agencies in the area, so most of the larger accounts where going to agencies outside of our market,” remarks Burwell, “but at Cornerstone, we have seen that trend change. We have been fortunate to find our niche. I believe our success has come through staying true to the integrity on which the company was founded.”

Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ECAF annually honors the area’s best in advertising. This year’s gala was held at Sandestin’s Baytowne Conference Center, and included more than 260 entrees from various local markets. Local winners across the country proceed to 14 regional competitions, and those winners proceed to the national finals.
